Journalist Killed By Wild Elephant In Polonnaruwa

A provincial journalist from Polonnaruwa was killed early this morning when he was attacked by a wild elephant in the Hingurakgoda area.

The journalist, 43 year-old Priyantha Ratnayake, was attacked when he went to a village to report on a case of a wild elephant attack.

He was admitted to Hingurakgoda Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
