Three arrested with 192kgs of heroin, 10 pistols, 10 magazines

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Three persons including two females were arrested with 192 kgs of heroin, 10 pistols and 10 magazines, Police Spokesman SP Jaliya Senaratne said.

He said two suspects were initially arrested with 15kgs of heroin by the Peliyagoda Special Investigation Unit Officers  this morning on the Southern Expressway.

Following the further questioning of the suspects, the Police recovered another 177 kgs of heroin, 10 pistols and 10 magazines from Bandaragama.

The Spokesman said further investigations are conducted under the directions of Western Province (North) DIG Waruna Jayasundara.
