Supremacy of law must be upheld at all times – President

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – President Gotabaya Rajapaksa stated that his Government has ended the culture of political interference in judicial matters of the country.

Addressing the 72nd Independence Day celebrations, Rajapaksa stressed that the supremacy of the law must be upheld at all times.

Sri Lanka will face a number of challenges in future and requested the public to support the initiatives taken by his Government.

The 72nd Independence Day celebrations got underway at 8.00 AM under the patronage of the President.

The Independence Day celebrations is being held under the theme “A Secured Nation – A Prosperous Country” at the Independence Square in Colombo.
