Shani Abeysekara issued notices to appear before PCoI.

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Former Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) SSP Shani Abeysekara and two other officers if the CID have been issued notices to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCOI) probing alleged incidents of political victimization.

He will accordingly make an appearance before the panel on the 3rd of March along with ASP B.A. Thisera and IP Nishantha Silava, who were also issued notices by the Commission.

In the meantime, former Navy Spokesperson Rear Admiral D.K.P. Dassanayake recorded a statement with the Presidential Commission yesterday.

The former CID chief and the two other officers were issued notices based on the evidence gave by Dassanayake.
