President will not bow to racism -Weerawansa

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Minister Wimal Weerawansa says President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will not bow to any form of racism.

Addressing a function in Welioya the Minister said the government is willing to make any sacrifice for the needs of the country and all its citizens.

He said the government under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will never propagate racism nor sponsor it in any manner.

The Minister said the present government is ready to make all commitments for the well-being of the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim communities.

On a separate note, Minister Wimal Weerawansa said a number of factories that were closed over a period of time will be reopened under state sponsorship.

He said a glass factory in Oddusuddan that was closed during the previous government’s term will be opened for operations adding a paper manufacturing factory in Valachchenai will also be reopened after resolving concerns relating to electricity.
