Itukama COVID-19 Fund balance reaches Rs.1.213b

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The balance in the Itukama COVID-19 Healthcare and Security Fund has reached Rs.1.213 billion today.

The President’s Media Division said institutions and personal donations along with direct deposits resulted in the increase in the balance.

Local, as well as foreign donors, have made contributions to the Fund.

Rs.25 million donated by state sectors workers of the North Central Province was handed over by the Governor of the Province Maheepala Herath today to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Donations to Itukama COVID-19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund have been exempted from taxes and foreign exchange regulations.
