Seminar on Sri Lanka – Switzerland trade potentials

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka has organized a seminar on the bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Switzerland.

The Seminar will be held at on September 22 at the National Chamber auditorium in Colombo from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka Heinz Walker-Nederkoorn will participate as the special guest speaker.

The participants will get an opportunity to interact with the Ambassador and officials, with regard to potential business and establishing business links with Switzerland.

According to the Department of Commerce, bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Switzerland exceeded US$ 325million in 2012 while Sri Lanka’s exports to Switzerland recorded the highest level of US$ 91.75 million.

The trade volume between Switzerland and Sri Lanka is currently around CHF 300 million (US$ 310 million) per year. Many Swiss companies are also present in Sri Lanka.
