19 recover from COVID-19, 858 discharged thus far

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – 19 persons who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said the number of recoveries in Sri Lanka accordingly increases to 858.

10 persons were discharged from the National Institute of Infectious Disease, eight from the Homagama Base Hospital and one from the Minuwangoda Base Hospital.

The number of coronavirus cases presently stands at 1,797 after 48 individuals were confirmed to have contracted the virus yesterday.

Among the 48 were 42 Navy personnel.

928 active COVID-19 cases are being treated at 11 hospitals.

48 persons who are suspected to have contracted the virus are also under observation.
