Validating the lists of postal voters to commence today

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Validating the lists of postal voters for the General Election will be conducted today.

The National Election Commission said the issuance and handing of postal ballots to the Postal Department will take place on the 30th of June and on the 1st and 2nd of July.

Marking of postal ballots will take place on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of July.

However, those who are unable to mark their postal ballot will be able to do so at respective district election offices on either 20th or 21st of July.

Poll cards of the 2020 General Election will be handed over to the Posts on the 11th, 12th and 13th of July.

The Election Commission said the distribution of Poll cards will be completed on the 29th of July.
