Man, who threw wife, infant into the sea, arrested

The 35-year-old man who is alleged to have thrown his wife and infant daughter into the sea at Mahpelena in Kosgoda has been arrested, Police said.

They said the arrest was made after the injured woman had escaped from a watery grave and complained to the Kosgoda police. Search operations are continuing to locatethe missing 18-months-old infant Parindya Sithmini.
