Sajith pledges to launch major development

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Sajith Premadasa says large scale development will take place in the country after the 5th of August under a government led by him.

Speaking at a gathering in Yatiyantota, Premadasa said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya has formulated a new programme to launch major development across the country, once victory is secured at the 5th August election.

Premadasa said the initiative will be the ‘Rural and Urban Governance’ programme.

Premadasa meanwhile stressed that his faction will not seek assistance from anyone.

He charged that due to such attitudes in the past the SJB’s organisers and MPs faced various difficulties.

The former Opposition Leader therefore stressed that such tactics were not necessary for the people to ensure the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s win at the upcoming election.
