COVID-19 cases up to 2708, recoveries rise to 2035

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The number of coronavirus cases reported in the country has increased to 2,708.

Four new patients were identified today.

The number of COVID-19 recoveries rose to 2,035 after 12 persons recovered and were discharged during the past 24 hour.

Seven persons were discharged from the Kattankudy Base Hospital, three from the Iranawila Hospital, and one each from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and the Minuwangoda Base Hospital.

The highest number of persons, 366, are being treated at the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre.

658 COVID-19 patients including two foreign nationals are currently receiving medical treatment at nine facilities. 107 suspected COVID-19 patients are also under medical observation.
