Hambantota Mayor bailed out

Hambantota Mayor Eraj Ravindra Fernando was today bailed out with two sureties of Rs.1 million each when he was produced before Hambantota Chief Magistrate Isuru Neththikumara.

Mr. Eraj Fernando was charged with threatening the Ambalantota Police Station Officer-in-Charge(OIC) and forcibly taking away a suspect who was in custody.

The case was fixed for June 24.
