Special Security Arrangement with 1900 Police Personnel in Colombo Today

In a press conference held in Information Department yesterday,  Police spokesman,Ruwan Gunasekera said that security arrangements in connection with the funeral of Ven. Sobitha Thera has been made with 1900 police personnel including STF.

Further he said, that 5000 seats have been allocated to Maha Sanga and special seating facilities have also been made for President, Prime Minister, Ministers, MPs, Governors, Provincial Councilors, Ambassadors / High Commissioners.

Special transport arrangements diverting certain routes have also been made to avoid transport congestion during funeral.
