Expansion On Toddy Shopes on Hold

The Supreme Court yesterday issued an order preventing the implementation of a gazette issued by the Colombo Divisional Secretary to increase zones to establish toddy shops in Colombo.

The petition was filed by a multi religious committee against the gazette of the Divisional Secretary.

Chairman of the Committee Madampagama Assaji thera said the petition will be taken up for further deliberation.
