As their overtime was cut, Water Supply Trade Union Federation has decided to engage in Trade Union action. Accordingly all maintenance work will come to a standstill as from 900 hrs today, said Upali Ratnayake, Coordinator.
Protest campaign had been carried out by employees as from 26th December 2015 at 8 am.
As authorities have failed to take remedial action trade unions decided to strike action.
