Attending a presentation ceremony of a Cricket tournament in Jaffna Northern Province Chief Minister C.V Vigneswaran accused that drugs were systematically being introduced in the North to undermine the youth.
He further stated that for the duration of the civil the youth in the North never had an opportunity for growth and that they took arms against the government and were destroyed with the support of foreign countries.
The Minister stated that the Tamil youth must not seek revolution but must find victory through education and solutions through peace.
The Minister accused certain powerhouses of trying to bring the Tamil youth once again to their knees by introducing drugs in the North, in this time recovery has become possible.
