Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka was appointed in Parliament as an MP to the vacant post created by the death of M.K.D.S.Gunawardena.
He is tipped to be appointed as a Minister of Mega Polis Ministry in respect of North Central, Uva and Central Provinces. Western Province Mega Polis Ministry is being held by Champika Ranawake.
