Press release from meteorology Department reads thus :
“Showers will occur at times in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district. Several spells of showers will occur in the North-Central province.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts after 4.00 pm.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity”.
