Clear Notice was painted on both side of the black bridge at Peliyagoda stating that vehicles below the height of 3.5 meters could go through it. But drivers of containers ignore it and take containers above 3.5 meters through this bride damaging it. This is not the first time a container passing through it has damaged the bridge.
Last night a container above 3.5 M height passed through Black Bridge at Peliyagoda damaging the bridge, on top which railway track is there. The railway track on the black bridge got damaged,Railway Control Room revealed.
Passengers were forced to walk as trains were delayed along the main line due to this accident on the Black bridge in Peliyagoda.
