Indian Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Minister, Nitin Gadkari said on Monday that his country is considering inking a pact with Srilanka to build a bridge connecting the two neibouring countries. Proposed bridge will be between Rameswaram in the south Indian State of Tamil Nadu and Srilanka.
Preliminary talks on this project has been held with the Srilankan President, Maithreepala Sirisena and Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremasinghe, he said. However, the Project is under consideration and discussion but not yet finalized, he concluded.
