Ex.Police Spokesman, SP Ruwan Gunasekara Questioned by the CID

Superintendent of Police, Ex.police spokesman, Ruwan Gunasekara was questioned by the CID on views expressed by him on former LTTE militants in a press conference called by him.

He reported to have told the CID that the Media organizations have quoted certain matters which he has not said in the press conference.

It is relevant to mention here that Ruwan Gunasekera has lost his position as Police Media Spokesman only after the said press conference. Along with the removal of Police media spokesman, Media spokesman unit has been suspended by the Inspector General of Police, Pujith Jeyasundara.
