Public Opinion Report on New Constitution on 16th May 2016

A Committee was appointed under the chairmanship of Lal Wijenayake  to obtain public opinion on a new constitution and submit to the Government. Lal Wijenayake said the final report by the committee will be handed over to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on the 16th of May.

He further said discussions will be held on the future proceedings of the committee after the report is handed over Wijenayake added the Constitutional Council will also then convene on the 24th of May for deliberations.
