Walk in Railway Track is a Walk to Remand Prison – CGR

On average 27 to 30 people commit suicide per month. They choose railway track to end their lives. This has created a big problem to the Railway Department and cause inconvenience to train commuters. With the good intention of preventing such suicides on railway tract, Railway Department wants to implement the regulation prohibiting walk on railway track by public as from tomorrow. Anyone found walking on railway track will be arrested with the help of police, said Railway sources.
