The low pressure area is moving away from the island, hence rainy conditions over the island
will be reduced to some extent, but strong wind conditions will continue for some more days.
Heavy to very heavy falls (100-150 mm) are likely at several places, particularly in the North, North Central, North Western provinces.
Showers or thunder showers will occur at time in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
