Wife Escapes After Killing her Husband
In Kegale Pelegalla Hathagoda Tharangahawa area mother of two children killed her 47 year old husband with a wooden stick. She kept the body inside the house along with the children and locked it. Thereafter she escaped from the scene of murder. Children were inside the locked house as from 19th to 24th May 2016. They ate only left out plantains in the house and survived.
Police investigation revealed that the couple frequently fight with each other and she left the house frequently in the past. Five year old child told the police that their mother attacked the father with a wooden stick on his head. After he fell down both children try to put him up. But he was dead. Police has sent the body to Kegalle General Hospital for post-mortem inquiry. Police has launched a search operation to arrest the mother.
