‘Deal’ Between Ranil And Mahinda Revealed By Tilvin

General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, Tilvin Silva has alleged  that there is a deal between Wickremesinghe and Rajapaksa, This is to  safeguard the former first family and extended family from serious legal action against corrupt deals carried out during   Mahinda’s tenure. Undre this deal they have both come to an understanding that, while Wickremesinghe will safeguard the Rajapaksa family from serious legal action, in return what Rajapaksa has to do is to abstain voting in Parliament on important issues .

“The agreement is that whenever there is a crucial vote in Parliament, Mahinda will not be in Parliament to vote against the Government. When  the crucial budget   and the no confidence vote against Finance Minister was taken, Mahinda was a visible absentee at both instances. This is because he has to save the grandsons, the grandmother and everyone else in his family, so instead of voting against the government, he is being absent,” Silva said.

“So according to the deal, Wickremesinghe will safeguard the Rajapaksa family while Mahinda will sit out of all the crucial votes taken up in parliament,” he added.
