In Shadow Cabinet Mahinda Rajapaksa PM & Namal FM

The Shadow Cabinet is a feature of the West minster system of government which is prominently seen in the UK and some other countries, including several countries outside the Commonwealth.

The Joint Opposition yesterday announced its ‘Shadow Cabinet’, introducing a practice seen in several Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth countries including the United Kingdom.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was named the Shadow Prime Minister while his son Namal is appointed the Shadow Foreign Minister.

Accordingly, Bandula Gunawardena is the Shadow Finance Minister while Dinesh Gunawardena is the Shadow National Policy and Economic Affairs Minister. Gammanpila is the Shadow Law and Order Minister.
