JVP Bimal Ratnayake on National Economy

In a meeting held in Kandy Bimal Ratnayake MP said that the Countries over Burdened with Foreign loans. Total national income is insufficient to pay back the loan. Everyday there are demonstrations by University Students, Traders, Medical Professionals and Public etc. No one can delight the reason for these demonstration is that the Countries economy is being deteriorated.

During Mahinda’s time country’s economy had fallen to the bottom. Hence, people have selected the current Government but there is no improvement. When Mahinda’s started his Governance total debt was 2500 Billion. By 2015 it was increased to 10, 500 Billion .Mahinda had taken 8,000 Billion loan during his tenure. Even if you calculate all developments works done by him during his period it won’t exceed 1000 Billion.  We have to search to find out what happened to the balance.
