At the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong , Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has under taken three-day official visit in Singapore to attend South Asia Diaspora Convention in Singapore.
Today Prime Minister Wickremesinghe will deliver the Special Address at the Third South Asian Diaspora Convention, organized by the Institute of South Asian Studies today.
Sri Lanka and Singapore will sign several bilateral agreements during his stay in Singapore.
A possible Sri Lanka-Singapore Free Trade Agreement is being studied as both countries are keen to pursue the deal to enhance bilateral trade.
The FTA is expected to comprise of commitments in trade in goods, services, investment and government procurement, according to Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry.
He will also meet with Singaporian business leaders at an event organized by International Enterprise, Singapore tomorrow.
