Peradeniya University 17 Students Temporarily Suspended

The Peradeniya University Administration has temporarily suspended 17 students of the university from attending lectures.

The suspension was issued in connection with  the recent assault on a group of students and professors by students of the  University’s Science Faculty.

Universities Director of Discipline M. Verahera, 15 students have been suspended for a period of 5 weeks, while 2 students were given a 2 week suspension.

In the meantime  suspensions were issued to 8 students of the Science Faculty, 7 students of the Management Faculty and 2 students of the Engineering Faculty.
