Arjuna Suggest to UNP & SLFP to Contest Separately and Join Later

Minister Arjuna Ranatunga  while addressing  an event in Payagala, Ranatunga said that the national government concept should be extended  to the local government bodies too .

Arjuna , Ranatunga suggest to UNP and SLFP to Contest Separately and Join Later  to form  local government bodies.

By this the main parties can preserve their individual identities.

Local government election  is delayed due to delimitation process to introduce a new electoral system. However, the opposition alleged that the government is intentionally postponing the election.
