Strict Compliance With Court Orders Regarding Pada Yathra and Membership Drive by UNP – IGP

 The IGP, Pujith Jayasundara said  that different parties had planned protest marches and membership drives today. However the Kandy and Mawanella courts have issued orders stipulating conditions regarding such activities.

Stern action will be taken against anyone attempting to defy court orders and engage in political activities, IGP Pujith Jayasundara said today.

Violence cannot be completely ruled out. Hence the police are keeping a watchful eye on any misdoings during their political activities, he added.
