The former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa is entitled to an official bungalow, official vehicles, security and a staff. The government had spent Rs. 30 million to renovate Rajapaksa’s official residence located at Ward Place, which was previously occupied by President Maithripala Sirisena when he was a minister.
He received his official vehicle 16 months after he fell out of power. Now he has received his official bungalow from the government.
It is significant to mention that on the eve of the Pada Yatra official bungalow was given to t Mahinda Rajapaksa.
