During the period, 2011 – 2015 Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) made advance payments to a private company without any order to supply mobile parts for SLTB buses.
The chairman, SLTB Ramal Siriwardhana has brought to the notice of the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva regarding an offer of a tender to a company related to the above mentioned defaulted company, the Ministry blacklisted the company concerned and cancelled the tender.
The Chairman, Siriwardhana, has ordered to conduct an internal investigation in connection with these two cases separately. “Necessary legal action will also be taken to recover the payments”, the Chairman said.
