Rajapaksha is Furious on Removal of his Supporters From Organizer Posts

Several ‘Joint Opposition’ members who support Rajapaksha were sacked from their posts yesterday. They included Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Gamini Lokuge and C.B. Rathnayake.

On his return after visiting his son Namal Rajapaksha in the remand prison, the former President speaking to the press claimed that his supporters are the real SLFPers . “SWRD Bandaranaike left the UNP and determined not to deal with them. The UNP has not accepted Bandaranaike principles at any stage ,” Mahinda  said.

He  is furious on the decision taken by President, Maithripala Sirisena to sack several electorate and district organizers of the SLFP from their positions, claiming that this was the manner in which the party leadership is attempting to make them leave the party. He added that the recent developments in the party is extremely disturbing.
