Escaped Police Officers Abroad are Given a Chance to Re-join?
During Mahinda’s Regime, certain high ranking officers who escaped from Mahinda’s clutches are returning to the Island after new Government came into power on 8th January 2015. A case in point is that Former Senior Police Superintendent Priyashantha has returned to the Island and contested as a UNP candidate in the Gampaha District during last General Election. He is appointed as the UNP organizer for the Mahara.
Seceratry Ministry of Justice, Jagath Wijeweera said, that number of High Ranking Police Officers, who fled the Country have applied for re-employment. List of these Police Officers has been sent to the Police Commission. In the meantime cabinet has approved their re employment subject to other terms and conditions, he concluded.
