Weather Forecast For 6th September 2016

Fairly strong wind at times (up to 50kmph) is expected to continue over the island.

Mainly fair weather condition will prevail over most parts of the island.

However a few showers may occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle district.

On the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 28^th of August and 07^th of September in this year. The nearest towns of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (06^th) are Balapitaya, Tissamaharama, Waralla and Opata about 12.09 noon.
