Prime Minister to Review Police Operations with Senior Police Officials Today

Prime Minister , Ranil Wickremesinghe has summoned senior police officials including the IGP to the Temple Trees for a special meeting today (21).

The meeting is to review the progress made by the police during the past few months after Pujith Jayasundara became IGP.

In the meantime, the Prime Minister is expected to consider and examine the steps taken by the IGP to restore the confidence of the public on the police.

Minister of Law and Order Sagala Rathnayake will also be present at the meeting.
