White Van Abductions Evidences Threatened

CID’s submission to the Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayewardene disclosed, that the former Navy Commander Karannagoda avoided to attend inquiry though called for on several occasions in connection with abduction of 11 personnel including 5 students.

Further, CID report stated that the chief evidence was given by Captain Grade Welagedara. He has been threatened by Captain Ranasinghe, Former Navy Commander Vasantha Karannagoda, Colombage and Former Spokesman for Navy D.K.P.Dassnayake. CID has recorded a statement in this connection from Captain Welagedara. CID also brought to the notice of the Magistrate that Welagedara was provided with two Navy Personnel Security.
