Work-to-rule campaign against proposed new Customs Ordinance draft bill launched by customs officials was called off on Monday, after a meeting with the minister was promised.Followed by this, a discussion was held with the Finance Minister. Customs Joint Trade Union Alliance said that the discussions held with Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake was successful.
President of the Alliance N. S. Kumanayaka said that the minister of Finance agreed to grant their demands.
