Panneerselvam to take Over Functions of Jayalalitha

Since Jayalalitha Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is hospitalized in Chennai Apollo Hospital for a long time and it will take some more days to recover from her illness, the Governor of Tamil Nadu has decided to assign the functions of the Chief Minister to O.Panneerselvam with the consent and recommendation of Jayalalitha. The Governor has taken this decision in accordance with the Indian constitution section 166(3). Now for all purposes O.Panneerselvam is the acting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, putting a full stop to skirmishes made by opposition parties including DMK.
