Ex-Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former President Mahinda Rajapakse’s brother, who was granted bail by the Colombo High Court on June 15, had been discharged on Thursday from a private hospital in Colombo where he had been warded.
It was reported that Parliamentarian Rajapaksa had gone to meet his brother, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, yesterday evening after he was discharged from hospital.
Mr. Rajapaksa was arrested on April 22 by the Police FCID on charges of misappropriation of public funds of the Divi Naguma Department and later remanded after being produced in the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.
