Teacher beats 14 year old student, student in hospital

A 14 year old student from the Ethkadura Seevali Vidyalaya has been hospitalized after a beating from a teacher reported the Elpitiya Police.

The teacher had hit the student because of a dispute that had arisen amongst a group of Students. The Student in question had previously undergone surgery and was admitted to hospital because of swelling on his face.

Division Educational Director Manoj Padmalal stated that he has so far not received reports regarding this matter but will further look in to it.
