Weather Forecast For 26th October 2016

The deep depression in the Central Bay of Bengal has developed in to a Cyclonic storm ‘KYANT’ and now located about 1300 km to the northeast of Sri Lanka. There is no direct effect on Sri Lanka.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Showers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Southern provinces in the morning too.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
