SLFP Appointed a Committee to Study COPE Report

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party   (SLFP) Central Committee   met  yesterday .  It was reported that  a group of Central Committee members were of the view that this report needs to be referred to the Attorney General’s Department for necessary action,  while others were of the view that action could be filed against those who were allegedly involved in this bond scam based on the COPE report.  Followed by this,  the Central Committee appointed a committee comprising senior lawyers to study the COPE report on the Central Bank bond issue.This committee  is expected  to make their recommendations to the party on how it could help a future course of action against those responsible for this scam.
