Land Slide Warning in Kalutara, Ratnapura, Galle & Matara Districts Still Effective

Deputy Director of the Disaster Management Centre,   Pradeep Koddippili, said that  the landslide warning issued yesterday by the National Building Research Organisation in the Kalutara, Ratnapura, Galle and Matara Districts  remains  effective until this evening. Further he said  the warning could be extended based on information received from the NBRO.

He  also requested the public residing in low lying areas to be vigilant of prevailing weather conditions and possible inundation.
