Addressing a media briefing, joint opposition MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage said that the joint opposition today lodged a complaint against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Bribery Commission regarding three cases of financial misappropriation during the ‘Yahapalana’ government.
He further said, that they have gathered documents regarding twelve different cases involving an amount of Rs. 10 billion against Minister Ravi Karunanayake and added that they were lodging only three complaints as of now.
The joint opposition previously lodged a complaint against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on financial misappropriations worth Rs. 15 billion in connection to the Central Bank bond sale scam.
Meanwhile, addressing the media briefing, joint opposition MP Ramesh Pathirana said Minister Karunanayake had caused the state a loss of Rs. 10 billion by releasing 800 Prado vehicles and 700 Benz vehicles from the Sri Lanka Customs.
