CSN Broadcast Rights cancellation Media Minister & Others Summoned to Appeal Court

A writ petition was filed before the Court of Appeal on the 1st of November against the Minister of Mass Media, Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.

The petition was filed by officials of the CSN Network requesting court to overturn the decision to cancel the broadcasting license of CSN.

Four Respondents including Minister of Mass Media Gayantha Karunathilaka are required  to appear before the Court of Appeal today in connection with the cancellation of the broadcasting license of the Carlton Sports Network.

The group is due to produce details in court following a notice issued by the Appeals Court
