Noori Estate Superintendent’s Murder: 18 Sentenced to Death

In 2013  then Superintendent of the Noori Estate in Deraniyagala, Nihal Perera was murdered.

In this connection  21 individuals were indicted by the AG in Avissawella High Court.

In this case,  eighteen individuals were sentenced to death by Avissawella High Court today(25)

Three others were acquitted from the case.

Those found guilty include former UPFA Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Anil Champika alias ‘Atha Kota’.
